Weird, eh?

You're so weird.

Ever said that to anyone? Or even associate that sentence to a certain someone? Well, certainly you’re not alone. But hey, I don’t mean this in a bad way. It’s something that they might do that makes them weird in a silly manner. Okay, that was so confusing!

Being weird to me is not because someone is over acting or geeky in some things… just weird. I mean, come on, all of us may come up with weird things or do some things that could make other people think we’re weird… in a way.

Weird to me can be anything. Sometimes I think that if some person knows she wants to talk to you but doesn’t really say anything… that is weird. It’s like you’re keeping the other person hanging on to something that is not real or that is not there in the first place.

Another weird thing for me is when people eat something I think is really gross. Haha. Well, I don’t think I can avoid that situation since we don’t eat the same things. Some might taste good to others and some may not.

I do know someone who I think is weird when she eats. Someone I know eats by quantity. Yes, by quantity! She’ll count it first before she eats it and she only eats it when it is even. It’s like when she eat grapes, she’ll count it first; should be even. So if there are 19 grapes, she’ll only eat 18 and give the remaining 1 grape to someone else. Don’t you think that is weird? Hahaha.

And yes, I am weird too at times. But let's not talk about that. Haha. :)

Imagination Saves the Day!

Yesterday, we went to Rustan's to buy some things. On our way to the clothing department, we stopped by the home department. And this baby caught my eye...

It's the Disney Mickey Mouse Ice Shaver!

It is really cute! From afar, I thought it was a bear but when I went up close to it, it was Mickey Mouse after all. It is perfect for making snow cones and you can put the flavoring syrup on its removable white round ears. Perfect treat on a really hot day (at home)!

There are in fact other Mickey Mouse fun food appliances to choose from. And here are some of the adorable food appliances kids and kids-at-heart would love to enjoy! :)

Clockwise: Disney Ice Cream Maker, Disney Smoothie Maker, Mickey Toaster and Disney Popcorn Popper.

I'm on a Diet ---------- Break!

Oh no, not me! It would be the last thing I would ever do or say. It is just that I love observing people, things and my surroundings whenever I have time to spare.

Everyday we see and hear people complaining about their figure and so they go on a diet. Eat less and exercise more is what they say. They watch whatever they eat, avoiding the fatty foods. They make sure that going to the gym or working out at home fits perfectly in their schedules. They try to watch shows on the tube, research on the Internet and read books and magazines just to know more about the kinds of diets they would like to do and would make them reduce whatever they do not want.

Last Thursday, we had a party here at our house to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We have invited our close friends to party with us. And throughout the night, I have been hearing some people ranting on how that one night could ruin their diet. But how could they resist not eating those scrumptious dishes?

And yes, we have prepared a lot. When we plan for a party, we really prepare all out for it. For appetizers, we had our homemade sushi and sashimi. Then, we had the main course catered and have selected only the delectable dishes. For the dessert, my mom made her delicious buko (coconut) salad, buko pandan, and some dips (marshmallows, apples, bananas, biscuits and sponge cakes) for the chocolate fountain. Of course, everyone loved it!

So how can you resist that? How do you think our guests handled that? Well, simple. They forgot that they were on a diet! (Thinking that: "Hey, I'll just catch up on the other days!") But that would be a wrong move, eh?

Care to share?

Last night, I had dinner in a restaurant with my family to celebrate Mother's Day. And we ordered more than we could manage to eat. Because of this, I only had a little of everything. And 5 glasses of strawberry lemonade.

When the waiter placed our food on the table, I quickly got the smallest piece of the appetizer. My sister suddenly uttered (to me) with excitement while getting this small piece of appetizer, "Hey, I got the smallest piece! Bleh! Hahaha!" I started laughing, showed her my plate and told her that I got the smallest piece while she was busy looking elsewhere. So, I was teasing her all night about it. Every time I would get another piece of food, I'd always look at her and tell her (with the same amount of excitement she had earlier), "Hey, I got the smallest piece! Hahaha!" And we'll both end up laughing.
