Spotted.

I've spent my halloween weekend at home watching one of my favorite series, Gossip Girl! Boredom striked, and I just finished 8 episodes in a flash. Haha, I guess it's either I'm that bored or I'm just so hooked with the series. Well, I believed it's the second one.

Some people think Gossip Girl is so high school. Yes, it is high school. They're high school. But then, there's something there that makes it interesting even to early 30s (age, i mean). There's something there that makes you realize some good (and some bad as well) points in life. There's so many issues, that we know, happens in real life that they have tackled and done a great job on showing people that hey, there's a brighter side of things. People make mistakes and some learn from it. Well, some doesn't. Or they just don't want to accept their mistakes.

Let me leave you with an interesting quote I got from Gossip Girl:
"You have to decide what's more important to you: keeping your pride and getting nothing, or taking a risk and maybe, just maybe, having everything."
-- Dan to Blair, Gossip Girl Season 2, Episode 8.

Lego-tastic!

If there was one toy that I think everyone enjoyed when they were young, it was that might be the Lego.

Kids would love to build things. It is the time when they enjoy imagining things and building or creating them. Some might be more attracted to drawings while some loves building blocks of things.

With Lego, you can make everything you want: buildings, flowers or even a smiley face. You just have to be creative and imaginative.

Honestly, I never knew playing with Lego could be so much fun especially when you have nothing to do at all. And the other day, I had the time to reminisce how fun it was, while trying it out again with some friends. Relaxing.

No matter how young or old a person may be, they will always love playing with toys.

Dream Big.

Kids tend to dream big. They love exploring and learning new things at a young age. I think it is the time where they dream about their future. Well, not in a serious way for some but you know, they kind of have an idea what they like to be when they grow up. It is the time when they look up to someone that they idolize and because of that, they too would want to be just like them when they grow up.

It is funny when you ask them what they want when they grow up, and the common answer you would get is that they want to be doctors. They want to be doctors so they can take good care of their loved ones. But once they grow up, things have changed. Some of them didn’t push through with their dreams to become a doctor because they were afraid of injections and blood. (I’m guilty! Haha. When I was younger, I think becoming a doctor is really cool.) Some just lose interest. Some becomes lazy. Well, different reasons.

So what’s your story? Were you able to follow your dream?

Weird, eh?

You're so weird.

Ever said that to anyone? Or even associate that sentence to a certain someone? Well, certainly you’re not alone. But hey, I don’t mean this in a bad way. It’s something that they might do that makes them weird in a silly manner. Okay, that was so confusing!

Being weird to me is not because someone is over acting or geeky in some things… just weird. I mean, come on, all of us may come up with weird things or do some things that could make other people think we’re weird… in a way.

Weird to me can be anything. Sometimes I think that if some person knows she wants to talk to you but doesn’t really say anything… that is weird. It’s like you’re keeping the other person hanging on to something that is not real or that is not there in the first place.

Another weird thing for me is when people eat something I think is really gross. Haha. Well, I don’t think I can avoid that situation since we don’t eat the same things. Some might taste good to others and some may not.

I do know someone who I think is weird when she eats. Someone I know eats by quantity. Yes, by quantity! She’ll count it first before she eats it and she only eats it when it is even. It’s like when she eat grapes, she’ll count it first; should be even. So if there are 19 grapes, she’ll only eat 18 and give the remaining 1 grape to someone else. Don’t you think that is weird? Hahaha.

And yes, I am weird too at times. But let's not talk about that. Haha. :)

Fetish.

We all have our different taste on some things. Guys usually craze about gadgets, cars and tools while girls absolutely loves to shop for whatever they find pretty. Haha.

When I was still in school, about a few years ago, I was crazy about getting new mobile phones every time a new one would come out. Every year, I would pick out and buy that one phone that catches my attention. If I see it and liked it, I would go and buy it.

But I guess when people grow up, things will change. And yes, I have said goodbye to my craze with mobile phones (for now). And I'm off to cameras.

I have been wanting to change my Sony CyberShot camera since last year because the model and style were old and the size was big. And you know how people nowadays take a lot of pictures wherever they go. I'm guilty of that! Every time I go out with family and friends, I always bring my camera along with me and take so many pictures until I ran out of batteries.

So last week, I bought a new camera. A new model of Sony CyberShot. Here's my new baby:

Traveling is my drug,

One of the things I love the most when I am free is to travel to new places I haven't been to or revisiting old places. I don't get bored going to the same places all over again like in Tagaytay, Philippines because of the nice weather and good food.

The other day I was chatting with my friends about the nice places to go to here in the Philippines. Honestly, I haven't been to a lot of really nice tourist spots here. I've only been to some and mostly to provinces that can be reached by car. Yes, I haven't been to most places here but we have been enjoying exploring other countries.

So now the question is, why haven't I gone to the most talked about places here in our country? Well, I really don't know. Hmm... maybe because I'm not that fond of going to the beaches (and yes, there's a couple of nice beaches around here), well, don't get me wrong, I love going to the beach and play around but I don't really enjoy swimming in one. I still prefer to swim at the pool.

But yes, I am still looking forward to explore our country in the future and see the nice places we have.

Oh, I need a vacation soon.

I am back!

Okay. So I am finally back to blogging again after more than 2 months of not updating my site. That’s how busy I am these days that the only thing I can update to my blog is the lower part, the dneero surveys. Haha.

What have I been up to? Well, I was busy with work and some other things that eat up my blogging time. But now, I am trying to balance my time again and do some more writing. So here I am.

Double Trouble.

Have you experienced someone calling you with a different name? Or someone you saw looks like your friend but turns out to be another person? Are you tired of people telling you that you look like someone else?

Well, I am not really tired of it. Sometimes, it’s a bit funny when you meet someone new and they tell you, “Hey, you look like someone I know!” or “I think I have seen you somewhere, you look really familiar!”

And I get that all the time. Some of my friends think I look like this local artist, some friends tell me I look like a cartoon character, and some people think I look like my older sister. Insulting, isn’t it? Hahaha.

People we (my sister and I) know tell us that we look each other, the only difference would be our skin color; I am the whiter version. I have met my sister’s friends and they have said the same thing, we look alike. Some of the people we meet for the first time would think we’re actually twins. Insulting, take two!

Earlier this week, I was introduced to a girl who was apparently my sister’s friend. She was looking at me like someone she has met before but couldn’t remember. Then finally, the one who introduced us blurted out that I was the sister of someone she knows. Then she said, “Oh, that’s why you look really familiar. You two look alike!”

When I got home, I told my sister about it. And we were just so curious about how people can see that I look like my sister and vice versa. We don’t know how they can see it, because we can’t see it with our own eyes. We can only see than I’m much whiter than she is. And so, we tried out different smiles to see if we look alike. We also tried to pose for different angles, but we just couldn’t see it! We couldn’t!

A fire in the heart.

Being addicted on something makes a person go crazy. In my case, as all of you might have read on my previous posts, I have been addicted to books especially the Twilight series. See, I’m writing about it again. And probably, this might not be the last.

My friends and family are really surprised how the series moved me in a way that I get crazy when I am not reading it. It’s like it’s the only thing that would make me sane. Give me the book and I’ll definitely be quiet. Quietly reading and feeling what I’m reading.

It makes me wish I was Bella. It makes me feel that I live in Forks and I am part of the story. It’s like hypnotizing me in a way that I get crazy about it. Crazy and happy.

Edward Cullen changed my opinion on vampires. I may have not seen them face-to-face but yes, it made me want to see them; thinking that they might be the same as Edward. Before I’d think that vampires are really scary, for one, they love human blood. Now it made me think, is there a possibility that a vampire like the Cullen’s exist? Like another Edward Cullen?

And now I’m waiting impatiently for Breaking Dawn, the last book to complete the series. It will be released here on August 4. It’s just a few days away, but you know, I hate waiting. And it sucks that I have finished the 3rd book, I have nothing else to read while waiting for the 4th one. Well, I tried reading other books but I just can’t. So I have watched the Twilight movie trailer for the nth time.

Your kiss might kill me.

A couple of days ago, while I was listening to the radio, one of the disc jockey mentioned how Emo music is in nowadays. Almost everyone’s going emo-tional complete with their black outfits and black eyeliner.

It’s true, whenever I go out at night, I sometimes would see those people in black shirt, torn jeans and black eyeliner. Well, emo music is really a hit to the young ones.

They say that emo music can either inspire you (to achieve your goals) or can be suicidal. Yes, it’s true. I have found some songs, with a line or two, that can be inspiring. Take for example, Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, the line goes, “I can show you, I’ll be the one”. This line is inspiring to me. It makes you feel you can prove whatever it is to the one you love. It is like you can already see that you can achieve it in the future.

In another song by the same artist, Cat and Mouse, there’s a line that goes, “You said that you would die for me”. In some other songs, you might find a line “I’ll bleed for you” or “We’re drowning in misery”. These lines seems suicidal to me. It’s like you don’t have any choice. Well, things happen for a reason.

But hey, I love both songs. Maybe I’m emo in my own little way.

Taking a break.

I am back from my very short break! If you have noticed, I haven’t been blogging since Tuesday. I have been blogging in my mind lately, thinking that when I get home from work, I will be able to type it away. But no, my hands were busy doing something else, turning pages and pages of the book I’m currently reading. And this has to do with my addiction to Stephenie Meyer’s books.

In a span of 2 weeks, I have read 3 books: Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. And this was the first time. Usually, it would take me a month (or even longer) to read a book. But this time, it was different. I feel so crazy when I’m actually not reading anything. Especially when I was in the office, I can’t wait to get home and read the book. Well, I didn’t think I could finish 2 books in just 2 days.

When reading these books, it gives me a feeling that I am part of it. And yes, sometimes I would even wish I was Bella. It was so different and touching and it moved me all the time. Having a werewolf best friend and a vampire boyfriend, it was just so surreal. Words aren’t enough, really. And I couldn’t really put into words what I feel about the book. So amazing!

My mom was even surprised, that lately, she would see me in my room reading a book until it was time for me to sleep. I found it funny when she asked me, “You read books?” Well, yes I do but not as addictive as I am now. This is because I think that last time she saw me read a book was when I was still in school. Well, not really. I love reading books.

And it’s just making me crazy waiting for the 4th book to arrive. Soon, I hope. Oh, and I am truly excited for the Twilight movie too.

Fear me not.

Early this morning, while waiting for something to do at the office, a friend and I was browsing people on friendster. We have seen other people’s accounts and have commented non-stop about their pictures. We only stopped when we saw this scary picture from of the accounts.

We then started to talk about our favorite kinds of movies and talked about what we both hate to watch, scary movies. I remember that I used to love watching scary movies when I was younger and I just didn’t know how it started on not liking it anymore.

I hate scary, horror, suspense, and thriller movies. It is because my imagination runs wild whenever I get to watch these types of movies. It seems like I am part of the movie whenever I am alone in the room. I kind of expect that something that I have watched may come true in life. I find it hard to move on.

The last scary movie I had seen was Shutter. And at some point, I was really afraid to see any Japanese girl thinking that it was the same girl from the movie. Moreover, if you know me personally, I am such a camera whore. I love taking pictures of anything and everything. And yes, there was also a time wherein I kept all the cameras when I am alone.

So I’d say, no more scary movies or I’d be crazy!

Hello-Goodbye Vacation.

Why do most people hate Monday mornings? Well, it’s because it’s the first day of work/school week. That means, either you stress out from work or school with more paperwork and less time playing around. It seems like times flies so fast when you hit weekends but then when it’s weekdays again, the time seems to stop every minute.

Yes, I hate Monday mornings too. I need to get up early to get ready for work and sleep early for the next day. I don’t have much time to do all the things I enjoy when I wasn’t working yet. But honestly, I hate Sunday evenings more. It is because it is an indication that your vacation is ending sooner.

If I were to like a day, it would be Friday; an indication that finally, vacation is here again. A time to hang out with family and friends and have fun! I know it will never happen but I can’t help it that sometimes I wish it would be Friday everyday. Hahaha.

I signed up for PPP!

Payperpost was introduced to me by a fellow blogger. At first, I thought it would be hard to join in this community since when I first heard about it, I was still new to this thing, blogging.

While I waited for my blog to age, I have been thinking of ways on how to improve my ranking. I wrote more articles, blog hop, made friends with other bloggers, and registered my blog in directories and blog networks.

The other day, I thought to myself to give it a try and apply for payperpost. And guess what, I got approved today! Hurray! Let’s get together and party! Yeah baby!

What I love most about payperpost, is not only that I get to blog about everything, but also get paid for it. What a nice combo, eh?

I am so excited that I’m already a part of payperpost and I am looking forward to all the opportunities that I could get. Blog loving it is!

Now the question is what will I do with all the money that I will earn? Hmm. I haven’t actually thought of anything yet but right now, I’m thinking of just saving it for future use or probably get my own domain? Hahaha. Well, that’s another story.

So, if you want to blog and at the same time earn some money, then come and join us at payperpost. You’ll surely love it too!

Welcome to the club!

Fashion trends come and go. What might be “in” now might be “out” tomorrow. But this scheme is not only for fashion, it may also be seen in techie gadgets. Having a lot of options to choose from before buying anything, takes loads of time but takes an instant when these things changes to a newer version or style.

Yesterday, I had a chat with a good friend. We were talking about some other things when she suddenly blurted out, “You’re still in!” And I was like, “Oh yeah, even if I’m sick, I’m still in!” Well, it’s because I have told her that I’ve been sick the whole week and I know someone also who’s been sick the whole week too (with the same diagnosis). Yes, it’s going around. It’s actually “in” nowadays. So people, take care!

Write and pop!

Watching Ellen Degeneres Show makes me un-bored and teaches me new things. A few days ago, they featured kids who invented things. There were 2 friends who build up a dog scratcher, in case you’re too tired to scratch your dogs’ head. There was a little girl who invented the sock pizza. Mind you, it’s not a food made of socks. Haha. It’s actually a socks organizer in a shape of pizza that you can put inside the washing machine so you will not lose your socks. Ah, I actually lost my favorite one in the washing machine.

During our speech classes in high school, we were asked to invent something and present it to class. I remember my product was a penpop, a pen with a candy in the other end. You know how kids, and even adults, when they are writing and are bored, or when they think while writing, they sometimes put the other end of the pen in their mouth? Well, I know some people do. But that is just so dirty. With penpop, as long as the pen is still working, you can change the lollipop when you have finished eating it and it comes with a cover too. When you can’t seem to finish it, you just have to cover it.

It's twilight!

I enjoy reading books when I have nothing else to do. I usually finish a book in a couple of days regardless of how thin or thick it might be. My latest read is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

It is a love story between a human and a vampire which actually moved me in most parts. If you think about it, it’s quite impossible for a human to actually fall in love with a vampire (and vice versa). In reality, people are afraid of vampires and so I think it will be impossible for them to be a couple. But, I really love the story! I need to have the second book! Haha. I finished the whole book earlier than usual, about 1 ½ days.

I suggest everyone to read it. It’s definitely a love story with bite!

“About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him –
And I didn’t know how dominant that part might be –
That thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably
In love with him.”

- Twilight, Stephenie Meyer

Wake me up, I'm dreaming.

My 4-month vacation just ended in a flash. And this all happened in about 3 days. Do you know the feeling when you think you’re dreaming that even you slap your face a hundred times, you’re not dreaming at all?

Well, I just did. I just got a job and started yesterday. And everyone was just so surprised…even me! Since Monday, a lot of questions have been running in my mind. How did that happen? Was I being punked? Where are the cameras? Is this a joke? Am I dreaming? And so on.

Well, it wasn’t a joke. It was real. It was so surprising. It wasn’t a dream.

Languages.

Learning a third language is a great advantage. I have always wanted to learn another language besides English and Tagalog (Filipino). I think this has a connection with my love for traveling. I love traveling since I was a kid. Our family would love to go on a vacation as much as we could.

Sometimes, it’s hard to communicate with other people who might not know much of the language you do know. I remember the time we went to Japan for a vacation years ago, when we were at the hotel, my mom asked some thing from the staff but she kept on giving us the wrong product. My mom was even acting out what she needs but the staff didn’t understand what she really wanted. Luckily, there was another staff who understood English and my mom’s acting that eventually she gave us the product my mom needs. Haha.

I have considered learning some languages like Korean, Chinese, and French. My love for Korean and Chinese language may be because of I am fond of watching Asian Dramas. Sometimes, I even search the net for basic words I can learn on my own. But I think that it might be useless because I won’t be able to know the correct pronunciation of the words. For French language, well, I think it’s because it sounds really nice and romantic. Hahaha.

One of the most popular questions I get from people when I meet them for the first time is that they ask me if I am Chinese, and they follow it up with another question… Do you know how to speak in Chinese? Well, the answer for both is no. Yes, I look Chinese. Some of my Chinese friends think I look more Chinese than they are. Haha. Well I guess, learning Chinese would be perfect for me.

Drop-Love.

I have been introduced to Entrecard by a fellow blogger about 2 months ago. At first, I wasn’t really sure how Entrecard would help me in blogging and spreading my links to other people.

One week ago, I tried dropping around 100 entrecards a day and realized that it helped me in getting people, not only to reciprocate my drops, but also visit and spread my links. I have gained blogger friends and links love. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all your visits, comments, tags and drops!

Three days ago while I was doing my rounds, I noticed a banner in some of my blog friends’ sites, the Entrecard Credit Generator. Sometimes we feel bored when clicking hundreds of sites just to drop a card. Instead of clicking in each site just to give some drops love, in this Entrecard Credit Generator site, you can click it by batch and 10 websites will automatically open. It is indeed so much easier to drop cards. And now, I have been dropping 300 cards a day! Try it too.

Blame it on the age gap.

You can tell if a person is getting older by simply looking at them. How they have their style have changed and the way they think have become more matured.

Yesterday, I couldn’t contain my laughter while I was having a conversation with my older sister. Having a 9-year age gap must be really long, but hey I wouldn’t have this hilarious story to tell if it weren’t for the age gap.

Everyone is unique. People have different tastes in music, fashion and even food. Having a long age gap might be difficult to have the same things in common if you live in different times.

About two to three years ago, we finally hung out at the same places. It’s like our times have finally met. And this was still the time she loves going out at night. We sometimes go out together (well, not really together… we just leave the house together but you know, hung out in different places)…my instant driver to night outs.

In two consecutive nights, she went out with her friends. On the first night, they hung out at a hotel thinking it’d be nice to catch up on things since it’ll be quieter than partying out somewhere else. And they’re actually too tired to even go out. But that’s still understandable.

So I asked where they’re off to last night. And yes, they went off to some bar where I think I could probably see my mom and her friends might hang out. Hahaha. Their times have met! She immediately told her friend about my comment when she told me where they’re going last night. And her friend replied, “We can still go, it’s the company that counts but I am totally not telling anyone where I am going! Hahaha!”

After our conversation, I now have realized that my mom is cooler than my sister, because my mom chills at Starbucks.

Google It, Just A Little Bit!

Technology helped us in so many ways. With just one click of your mouse, you can get whatever you want. It’s just so amazing that kids at an early age know how to use a computer. It’s even more amazing to know that some old folks can still keep up with the advancement of technology.

Hard bound encyclopedias used to be a big hit when I was younger. I can still remember our complete collection of encyclopedias at home that used to help us when we have home works and projects for school. It was indeed really helpful. But since it is now easier to get information on the net, we decided to sell our encyclopedias and subscribe on an ISP instead.

Nowadays, when you need to search for something, people will just tell you 3 words -- “Just Google It”. And it’s true, googling is so easy. You can search what you need on the net in an instant and you have more links to choose from. You don’t have to check on your encyclopedias to search for the things you’re looking for. Open your browser and just google it! It’s that easy.

But hey, don't get me wrong, I love reading books too.

Don't Ask!

If you don't like my ideas, don't ask!

Lately, I have been trying to sleep earlier than usual. As I have previously posted, I have been struggling all night for sleep that I end up twisting and turning for hours. As a result, I have come up with the idea on trying to go to bed earlier; thinking that if I still be up all night at least I could sleep earlier than trying to go to bed my usual (late) time and end up sleeping in the wee hours of morning. And yes, I know it sounds complicated!

Last night, when I was about to sleep, my sister went to my room and asked me what she should wear for a lunch date with friends today.

After giving her my ratings on the clothes she tried on and a few suggestions on what to wear, she then told me that she'd stick with her outfit in mind. What?!?

So yeah, I stayed up late for nothing.

Imagination Saves the Day!

Yesterday, we went to Rustan's to buy some things. On our way to the clothing department, we stopped by the home department. And this baby caught my eye...

It's the Disney Mickey Mouse Ice Shaver!

It is really cute! From afar, I thought it was a bear but when I went up close to it, it was Mickey Mouse after all. It is perfect for making snow cones and you can put the flavoring syrup on its removable white round ears. Perfect treat on a really hot day (at home)!

There are in fact other Mickey Mouse fun food appliances to choose from. And here are some of the adorable food appliances kids and kids-at-heart would love to enjoy! :)

Clockwise: Disney Ice Cream Maker, Disney Smoothie Maker, Mickey Toaster and Disney Popcorn Popper.

--- The Best Gift Ever ---

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college.
For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study.
His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.
He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said,
"With all your money you give me a Bible?"
And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him.
He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son.
He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago.
With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.
His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired.
On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...
PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLEASE SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

Lesson learned: Appreciate everything you have and be happy with it. :)

Now I'm tagging: Adie, Winter, and Naomi.

Deja vu?

I woke up to a shocking morning as I have been hearing people whispering around the room. No, not a ghost or something like that, but my mom and the helper once again. They were fixing, cleaning, and throwing away things from one of my cabinets packed with so many intriguing things that even my dad is excited to see what's in there. It is because I haven't cleaned it before and it's full of my old things packed in a plastic.

As I have said on my earlier entries, I am the type of person who can't let go of anything easily. Like if I went to a theme park, I would probably keep something that would remind me of my moments there. Of course, there would be pictures but I still want to keep something else that would remind me of good times.

And I still have those things; things that may seem trash to other people. But finally, I had let some of them go. The favorite ones stayed though even if it doesn't fit me anymore or I don't get to use it like before. Hahaha.

It's all a dream -- no, a nightmare!

Last night, I slept in another room because the helper will remove the curtains and clean the windows early in the morning. And if you really know me, I usually wake up just in time for lunch.

It was raining when I woke up and so my body feels that I need to sleep more and enjoy the cool weather. But... do you know the feeling when it feels like you have been sleeping for a long time and just want to get up? Well, I was torn between those two choices. So, I planned to do both. Get up and go to my room and sleep again.

As I am about to go to my room, I saw the helper and my mom still inside. Apparently, my mom asked the helper to clean the whole room instead. And I was shocked to the point of forgetting what I had earlier planned to do. So now, I just finished cleaning up my own room, throwing away all the things that I didn't like anymore and putting the things I still like back to the cabinets. Oh what a day!

My Firsts.

Do you remember your firsts? The first time you walked? The first time you talked? The first time you hold someone's hand? Or the first time you slipped? Hahaha.

After taking an online survey about my firsts, I realized that I have already forgotten some of the first times I had. I may have forgotten those first things but I know those memories (happy or not) will always be kept in a special place.

Changes.

Things are different now.
There were changes.
Changes that affects life.

It's really hard to pretend. Pretend that you're okay. Pretend that you're happy. Pretend that you're touching other people's lives. When you're really not. Why do people have to pretend? What's in it for them? Are they really happy? Of course not. They just want to hide. Hide in a mask, that is. A mask that is full of mysteries. They may think it would help them in any way that it could.

You may really show people you're happy outside. But deep inside, you're not. The pain is there. Rejection maybe, or fear of losing the person you love. It's hard... It's hard to let go. It's hard to let go of that pain. When the pain is the only reason that makes you happy. It makes you forget about your other problems even for just a moment.

Get outta my head!

Last song syndrome is the last song you've heard and got stuck in your head. My sister always gets this syndrome. And worst, not only the song gets stick to her head but also the dance movements. Sometimes, I really get annoyed when she starts singing when I am around and bugs me to join her as well. Just like the Kung Fu Panda theme song, it was her longest LSS ever. Every time she hears the song being played, she will sing it all over again and again. I think it was her strategy to get me out of her room. Hahaha.

Finally, she's done with her Kung Fu Panda LSS. But now, she's stuck with the "Crank That Soulja Boy" song. She even knows how the choreography of the dance goes. I got home one day when she hurriedly went to my room and told me that she's done with the Kung Fu Panda song and is now into that Soulja Boy song. And yes, not only did she sing the song but she also showed me the dance movements.

Hey, maybe I got sick of all her last song (and dance) syndromes, that when I got up this morning, I was singing (in my head)... "Get outta my head...outta my...outta my head!"

Goodnight.

We hear people tell us that the reason we could not sleep is that we are thinking of things:
1. Things to do the next day
2. Solutions to your current problems
3. Reasons why you're stressed and how to reduce stress
Well, I know we all have experienced this kind of feeling.

But what do you do when you cannot sleep? How can you erase all the things you have been thinking (for the night)?

I know it's a bit weird but sometimes I actually think on how I could not think when I am about to sleep. Hahaha. But yes, I end up thinking again. I have somehow counted as many sheep as I could but still can't fall asleep... just like what you see on the television.

I have tried different ways to counter this problem:
1. Stay away from caffeine as this might not help you fall asleep.
2. Create your own sleepy schedule. I know this might be a bit hard but when you get the rhythm, it might just work out well. Try to follow a certain time everyday on what time you have to sleep.
3. Listen to a relaxing music. I find this very helpful when I can't sleep. It helps me forget about the things I have on my mind.
4. Get up and do something boring until you fall asleep.
5. Take a hot bath before you sleep.

However, people have different ways on how they would sleep well. My solutions might not work out for everyone.

Letting Go Takes Time.

It's hard to let go of one thing that has been attached to you, regardless of how long it has been with you.

And no, this is not always about letting go of your loved ones. It is also about the things you love and have been with. I am the kind of person who always keeps whatever is given to me, what I have bought, or simply the things that may remind me of events that took place. It is hard for me to throw away these things that I value. As long as I have space to keep those things, I would keep it.

Take for example, this shoe that I bought in Hong Kong. I loved it the very first time I saw it. It has been with me for some time. At that time, I got the shoe in a bigger size and now it still fits me.

The only problem is the quality of the shoe. Since I have been using it as much as I could, the shoe had been worn out. My mom and sister had been telling me to throw it away. My mom even bought me a new one, a nicer shoe, which I love too. But you know, I can't just throw the old one away.

In time, I guess...but not anytime soon.

Want a massage?

I previously posted on my other entry that I love getting a massage when I am stressed out. But then, I figured that it is not only when I am tired that I love getting a massage. I love it as much as I love chocolates. Hmm, how about a chocolate massage? Hahaha.

I love the feeling of being sleepy after the massage. It makes you go lazy and just want to sleep the whole day and enjoy the cool breeze of your room. I love it especially when they massage my head, it feels really nice. Hey, getting a massage is really a good deal. Go try it, surely you'll love it!

Don't Lie.

Liars are persons who tell lies. I know we all have encountered people like this. Heck, all of us may have been told someone a lie.

I remember this story about a boy who always tricks his neighbor that there's a wolf coming (or something like that). Every night he would trick his neighbors that a wolf is coming so the people end up packing their things or get ready to fight the wolf and yes, for consecutive nights, they end up getting angry at the boy for all his lies. Until one night, he really did see a wolf. After telling all the people about it, the people did not listen to him anymore and assumed that the boy is telling them another lie. Too bad, I just can't remember what happened next to the story. Hahaha.

But the moral of the story is that you should not tell a lie because there might come a time that if you're already telling the truth, people might not believe you anymore.

Are you loyal to a particular brand?

When going shopping, some people would first go to their favorite stores to check out what's new and some people likes going to the first store they would see when they enter the mall. Well, I belong to the group where I would check out my favorite stores first before exploring the other stores on their new arrivals.

I usually stay at my favorite stores for at least an hour fitting all the new arrivals and deciding on which clothes to buy. Sames goes for buying other things such as: bags, make up, shoes and techie gadgets.

There's this one store I visit often that the sales ladies already know the type of clothes I want and just bring whatever is new at the fitting room. And yes, I end up buying a lot of clothes. You know, it's hard to decide on which to get now and which to get later that I end up buying all that I want. Hahaha.

Time to say goodbye...

to stress.

Stress occurs when the body as a whole starts to suffer as a result of a stressful situation. I do get stress from work or when I encounter problems. So I have come up with my top 6 favorite things to do to say bye bye to stress.

Sleep - I love sleeping. It is so nice to sleep after a long day or even when you're bored. I loved it especially when it is raining. What a relaxing feeling!

Take a break - Have a KitKat! Haha. Seriously, you should take a break to get your energy back. You can do other things that would make you happy or you can just eat. I would probably eat when I take a break. When I am stressed, I just love munching on chips and chocolates.

Reinvent - Have a makeover. Girls love to spend some time in a salon to get their hair and nails done. I think it is a nice way to relax after a very stressful day. Pamper time, y'all!

Enjoy - Go out! Enjoy the things you love to do: playing sports, watching television, writing articles for your blog, go on a road trip with friends, going to the mall, go to clubs with friends, or go to your favorite coffee shop to unwind.

Shop - Most girls love shopping for anything... nice. Enough said.

Spa - Going to the spa or having a home massage is a great way to say bye bye to stress. I love getting a massage at home. I think that it is much better than going to a spa. It is because when you're getting a massage at home, you can sleep all you want even after the massage is over. You don't need to get up and go home. The feeling of being sleepy will be gone once you drive yourself home after getting some relaxation.

The Kids' World.

I have heard older people talk about cartoons nowadays -- how some are really weird looking and kind of weird concepts too, how anime is really popular, and the usual superhero cartoons showcasing their different kinds of superpowers to save the people and the world.

Well, you know that Disney Cartoons have been airing for a long time. But it is kind of weird when all the main animal characters of Mickey Mouse and friends can talk while their pets can't. Same goes with Winnie the Pooh and this girl (I forgot the name though). I was browsing the channels and was looking for something good to watch when I got a glimpse of this cartoon. The girl could talk to the main animal characters while they all could not communicate with their pet dog.

We all know why the cartoons exist for the kids... and yes, for the adults too. It is because they entertain us and teach us good ethics / principles / morals through telling a story in an animated way. They know that the kids would more likely to listen and watch well if they are being educated through animations.

Not only that, but they also teach us different languages and cultures from different countries. For example, Dora the Explorer. In this show, they teach us basic Spanish language and good ethics. Sometimes I would hear some kids say words and phrases they got from watching shows like this. I remembered my nephew once asked me what the meaning of Ni Hao Ma. He got the phrase from this Chinese cartoons, something like Dora (or was it Dora?), and forgot what it meant in English. You know how kids just love to imitate people and yes, characters from shows.

It's true we can get a lot of things from watching cartoons. Although I must admit that watching too much of it would be no good. My sister's kids love watching all day -- and i mean it, all day long! It's what they look for when they wake up till they go to sleep and even when they're eating. It would take a long time for you to tell them to eat or to do something else.

Hey, but don't get me wrong. I totally love cartoons! One of my favorites would includes Care Bears. They're just so cool and cuddly.
