A fire in the heart.

Being addicted on something makes a person go crazy. In my case, as all of you might have read on my previous posts, I have been addicted to books especially the Twilight series. See, I’m writing about it again. And probably, this might not be the last.

My friends and family are really surprised how the series moved me in a way that I get crazy when I am not reading it. It’s like it’s the only thing that would make me sane. Give me the book and I’ll definitely be quiet. Quietly reading and feeling what I’m reading.

It makes me wish I was Bella. It makes me feel that I live in Forks and I am part of the story. It’s like hypnotizing me in a way that I get crazy about it. Crazy and happy.

Edward Cullen changed my opinion on vampires. I may have not seen them face-to-face but yes, it made me want to see them; thinking that they might be the same as Edward. Before I’d think that vampires are really scary, for one, they love human blood. Now it made me think, is there a possibility that a vampire like the Cullen’s exist? Like another Edward Cullen?

And now I’m waiting impatiently for Breaking Dawn, the last book to complete the series. It will be released here on August 4. It’s just a few days away, but you know, I hate waiting. And it sucks that I have finished the 3rd book, I have nothing else to read while waiting for the 4th one. Well, I tried reading other books but I just can’t. So I have watched the Twilight movie trailer for the nth time.

Your kiss might kill me.

A couple of days ago, while I was listening to the radio, one of the disc jockey mentioned how Emo music is in nowadays. Almost everyone’s going emo-tional complete with their black outfits and black eyeliner.

It’s true, whenever I go out at night, I sometimes would see those people in black shirt, torn jeans and black eyeliner. Well, emo music is really a hit to the young ones.

They say that emo music can either inspire you (to achieve your goals) or can be suicidal. Yes, it’s true. I have found some songs, with a line or two, that can be inspiring. Take for example, Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, the line goes, “I can show you, I’ll be the one”. This line is inspiring to me. It makes you feel you can prove whatever it is to the one you love. It is like you can already see that you can achieve it in the future.

In another song by the same artist, Cat and Mouse, there’s a line that goes, “You said that you would die for me”. In some other songs, you might find a line “I’ll bleed for you” or “We’re drowning in misery”. These lines seems suicidal to me. It’s like you don’t have any choice. Well, things happen for a reason.

But hey, I love both songs. Maybe I’m emo in my own little way.

Taking a break.

I am back from my very short break! If you have noticed, I haven’t been blogging since Tuesday. I have been blogging in my mind lately, thinking that when I get home from work, I will be able to type it away. But no, my hands were busy doing something else, turning pages and pages of the book I’m currently reading. And this has to do with my addiction to Stephenie Meyer’s books.

In a span of 2 weeks, I have read 3 books: Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. And this was the first time. Usually, it would take me a month (or even longer) to read a book. But this time, it was different. I feel so crazy when I’m actually not reading anything. Especially when I was in the office, I can’t wait to get home and read the book. Well, I didn’t think I could finish 2 books in just 2 days.

When reading these books, it gives me a feeling that I am part of it. And yes, sometimes I would even wish I was Bella. It was so different and touching and it moved me all the time. Having a werewolf best friend and a vampire boyfriend, it was just so surreal. Words aren’t enough, really. And I couldn’t really put into words what I feel about the book. So amazing!

My mom was even surprised, that lately, she would see me in my room reading a book until it was time for me to sleep. I found it funny when she asked me, “You read books?” Well, yes I do but not as addictive as I am now. This is because I think that last time she saw me read a book was when I was still in school. Well, not really. I love reading books.

And it’s just making me crazy waiting for the 4th book to arrive. Soon, I hope. Oh, and I am truly excited for the Twilight movie too.

Fear me not.

Early this morning, while waiting for something to do at the office, a friend and I was browsing people on friendster. We have seen other people’s accounts and have commented non-stop about their pictures. We only stopped when we saw this scary picture from of the accounts.

We then started to talk about our favorite kinds of movies and talked about what we both hate to watch, scary movies. I remember that I used to love watching scary movies when I was younger and I just didn’t know how it started on not liking it anymore.

I hate scary, horror, suspense, and thriller movies. It is because my imagination runs wild whenever I get to watch these types of movies. It seems like I am part of the movie whenever I am alone in the room. I kind of expect that something that I have watched may come true in life. I find it hard to move on.

The last scary movie I had seen was Shutter. And at some point, I was really afraid to see any Japanese girl thinking that it was the same girl from the movie. Moreover, if you know me personally, I am such a camera whore. I love taking pictures of anything and everything. And yes, there was also a time wherein I kept all the cameras when I am alone.

So I’d say, no more scary movies or I’d be crazy!

Hello-Goodbye Vacation.

Why do most people hate Monday mornings? Well, it’s because it’s the first day of work/school week. That means, either you stress out from work or school with more paperwork and less time playing around. It seems like times flies so fast when you hit weekends but then when it’s weekdays again, the time seems to stop every minute.

Yes, I hate Monday mornings too. I need to get up early to get ready for work and sleep early for the next day. I don’t have much time to do all the things I enjoy when I wasn’t working yet. But honestly, I hate Sunday evenings more. It is because it is an indication that your vacation is ending sooner.

If I were to like a day, it would be Friday; an indication that finally, vacation is here again. A time to hang out with family and friends and have fun! I know it will never happen but I can’t help it that sometimes I wish it would be Friday everyday. Hahaha.

I signed up for PPP!

Payperpost was introduced to me by a fellow blogger. At first, I thought it would be hard to join in this community since when I first heard about it, I was still new to this thing, blogging.

While I waited for my blog to age, I have been thinking of ways on how to improve my ranking. I wrote more articles, blog hop, made friends with other bloggers, and registered my blog in directories and blog networks.

The other day, I thought to myself to give it a try and apply for payperpost. And guess what, I got approved today! Hurray! Let’s get together and party! Yeah baby!

What I love most about payperpost, is not only that I get to blog about everything, but also get paid for it. What a nice combo, eh?

I am so excited that I’m already a part of payperpost and I am looking forward to all the opportunities that I could get. Blog loving it is!

Now the question is what will I do with all the money that I will earn? Hmm. I haven’t actually thought of anything yet but right now, I’m thinking of just saving it for future use or probably get my own domain? Hahaha. Well, that’s another story.

So, if you want to blog and at the same time earn some money, then come and join us at payperpost. You’ll surely love it too!

Welcome to the club!

Fashion trends come and go. What might be “in” now might be “out” tomorrow. But this scheme is not only for fashion, it may also be seen in techie gadgets. Having a lot of options to choose from before buying anything, takes loads of time but takes an instant when these things changes to a newer version or style.

Yesterday, I had a chat with a good friend. We were talking about some other things when she suddenly blurted out, “You’re still in!” And I was like, “Oh yeah, even if I’m sick, I’m still in!” Well, it’s because I have told her that I’ve been sick the whole week and I know someone also who’s been sick the whole week too (with the same diagnosis). Yes, it’s going around. It’s actually “in” nowadays. So people, take care!

Write and pop!

Watching Ellen Degeneres Show makes me un-bored and teaches me new things. A few days ago, they featured kids who invented things. There were 2 friends who build up a dog scratcher, in case you’re too tired to scratch your dogs’ head. There was a little girl who invented the sock pizza. Mind you, it’s not a food made of socks. Haha. It’s actually a socks organizer in a shape of pizza that you can put inside the washing machine so you will not lose your socks. Ah, I actually lost my favorite one in the washing machine.

During our speech classes in high school, we were asked to invent something and present it to class. I remember my product was a penpop, a pen with a candy in the other end. You know how kids, and even adults, when they are writing and are bored, or when they think while writing, they sometimes put the other end of the pen in their mouth? Well, I know some people do. But that is just so dirty. With penpop, as long as the pen is still working, you can change the lollipop when you have finished eating it and it comes with a cover too. When you can’t seem to finish it, you just have to cover it.

It's twilight!

I enjoy reading books when I have nothing else to do. I usually finish a book in a couple of days regardless of how thin or thick it might be. My latest read is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

It is a love story between a human and a vampire which actually moved me in most parts. If you think about it, it’s quite impossible for a human to actually fall in love with a vampire (and vice versa). In reality, people are afraid of vampires and so I think it will be impossible for them to be a couple. But, I really love the story! I need to have the second book! Haha. I finished the whole book earlier than usual, about 1 ½ days.

I suggest everyone to read it. It’s definitely a love story with bite!

“About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him –
And I didn’t know how dominant that part might be –
That thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably
In love with him.”

- Twilight, Stephenie Meyer

Wake me up, I'm dreaming.

My 4-month vacation just ended in a flash. And this all happened in about 3 days. Do you know the feeling when you think you’re dreaming that even you slap your face a hundred times, you’re not dreaming at all?

Well, I just did. I just got a job and started yesterday. And everyone was just so surprised…even me! Since Monday, a lot of questions have been running in my mind. How did that happen? Was I being punked? Where are the cameras? Is this a joke? Am I dreaming? And so on.

Well, it wasn’t a joke. It was real. It was so surprising. It wasn’t a dream.

Languages.

Learning a third language is a great advantage. I have always wanted to learn another language besides English and Tagalog (Filipino). I think this has a connection with my love for traveling. I love traveling since I was a kid. Our family would love to go on a vacation as much as we could.

Sometimes, it’s hard to communicate with other people who might not know much of the language you do know. I remember the time we went to Japan for a vacation years ago, when we were at the hotel, my mom asked some thing from the staff but she kept on giving us the wrong product. My mom was even acting out what she needs but the staff didn’t understand what she really wanted. Luckily, there was another staff who understood English and my mom’s acting that eventually she gave us the product my mom needs. Haha.

I have considered learning some languages like Korean, Chinese, and French. My love for Korean and Chinese language may be because of I am fond of watching Asian Dramas. Sometimes, I even search the net for basic words I can learn on my own. But I think that it might be useless because I won’t be able to know the correct pronunciation of the words. For French language, well, I think it’s because it sounds really nice and romantic. Hahaha.

One of the most popular questions I get from people when I meet them for the first time is that they ask me if I am Chinese, and they follow it up with another question… Do you know how to speak in Chinese? Well, the answer for both is no. Yes, I look Chinese. Some of my Chinese friends think I look more Chinese than they are. Haha. Well I guess, learning Chinese would be perfect for me.

Drop-Love.

I have been introduced to Entrecard by a fellow blogger about 2 months ago. At first, I wasn’t really sure how Entrecard would help me in blogging and spreading my links to other people.

One week ago, I tried dropping around 100 entrecards a day and realized that it helped me in getting people, not only to reciprocate my drops, but also visit and spread my links. I have gained blogger friends and links love. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all your visits, comments, tags and drops!

Three days ago while I was doing my rounds, I noticed a banner in some of my blog friends’ sites, the Entrecard Credit Generator. Sometimes we feel bored when clicking hundreds of sites just to drop a card. Instead of clicking in each site just to give some drops love, in this Entrecard Credit Generator site, you can click it by batch and 10 websites will automatically open. It is indeed so much easier to drop cards. And now, I have been dropping 300 cards a day! Try it too.

Blame it on the age gap.

You can tell if a person is getting older by simply looking at them. How they have their style have changed and the way they think have become more matured.

Yesterday, I couldn’t contain my laughter while I was having a conversation with my older sister. Having a 9-year age gap must be really long, but hey I wouldn’t have this hilarious story to tell if it weren’t for the age gap.

Everyone is unique. People have different tastes in music, fashion and even food. Having a long age gap might be difficult to have the same things in common if you live in different times.

About two to three years ago, we finally hung out at the same places. It’s like our times have finally met. And this was still the time she loves going out at night. We sometimes go out together (well, not really together… we just leave the house together but you know, hung out in different places)…my instant driver to night outs.

In two consecutive nights, she went out with her friends. On the first night, they hung out at a hotel thinking it’d be nice to catch up on things since it’ll be quieter than partying out somewhere else. And they’re actually too tired to even go out. But that’s still understandable.

So I asked where they’re off to last night. And yes, they went off to some bar where I think I could probably see my mom and her friends might hang out. Hahaha. Their times have met! She immediately told her friend about my comment when she told me where they’re going last night. And her friend replied, “We can still go, it’s the company that counts but I am totally not telling anyone where I am going! Hahaha!”

After our conversation, I now have realized that my mom is cooler than my sister, because my mom chills at Starbucks.

Google It, Just A Little Bit!

Technology helped us in so many ways. With just one click of your mouse, you can get whatever you want. It’s just so amazing that kids at an early age know how to use a computer. It’s even more amazing to know that some old folks can still keep up with the advancement of technology.

Hard bound encyclopedias used to be a big hit when I was younger. I can still remember our complete collection of encyclopedias at home that used to help us when we have home works and projects for school. It was indeed really helpful. But since it is now easier to get information on the net, we decided to sell our encyclopedias and subscribe on an ISP instead.

Nowadays, when you need to search for something, people will just tell you 3 words -- “Just Google It”. And it’s true, googling is so easy. You can search what you need on the net in an instant and you have more links to choose from. You don’t have to check on your encyclopedias to search for the things you’re looking for. Open your browser and just google it! It’s that easy.

But hey, don't get me wrong, I love reading books too.

Don't Ask!

If you don't like my ideas, don't ask!

Lately, I have been trying to sleep earlier than usual. As I have previously posted, I have been struggling all night for sleep that I end up twisting and turning for hours. As a result, I have come up with the idea on trying to go to bed earlier; thinking that if I still be up all night at least I could sleep earlier than trying to go to bed my usual (late) time and end up sleeping in the wee hours of morning. And yes, I know it sounds complicated!

Last night, when I was about to sleep, my sister went to my room and asked me what she should wear for a lunch date with friends today.

After giving her my ratings on the clothes she tried on and a few suggestions on what to wear, she then told me that she'd stick with her outfit in mind. What?!?

So yeah, I stayed up late for nothing.

Imagination Saves the Day!

Yesterday, we went to Rustan's to buy some things. On our way to the clothing department, we stopped by the home department. And this baby caught my eye...

It's the Disney Mickey Mouse Ice Shaver!

It is really cute! From afar, I thought it was a bear but when I went up close to it, it was Mickey Mouse after all. It is perfect for making snow cones and you can put the flavoring syrup on its removable white round ears. Perfect treat on a really hot day (at home)!

There are in fact other Mickey Mouse fun food appliances to choose from. And here are some of the adorable food appliances kids and kids-at-heart would love to enjoy! :)

Clockwise: Disney Ice Cream Maker, Disney Smoothie Maker, Mickey Toaster and Disney Popcorn Popper.

--- The Best Gift Ever ---

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college.
For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study.
His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.
He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said,
"With all your money you give me a Bible?"
And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him.
He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son.
He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago.
With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.
His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired.
On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...
PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLEASE SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

Lesson learned: Appreciate everything you have and be happy with it. :)
